All About Mrs. Ruiz
|
I am so excited to start my 6th year teaching here at SEES! I love being a teacher, and even more I love being a teacher here at SEES! I truly do have my dream job and I feel so fortunate to work in such an amazing community where our school is incredibly supported. I grew up in the Imperial Valley which is about 2 hours east of San Diego near the Mexico and Arizona borders. Growing up I was involved in playing many sports but especially loved swimming and volleyball. Swimming competitively lead me to landing my first job, being a lifeguard. I then gained my love for teaching when I began coaching the summer recreation swim team that I grew up swimming on. After graduating high school, I attended Imperial Valley College where I received my Associate's Degree in Social Science. From there, I transferred to California State University, San Marcos where I graduated with my Bachelor's of Arts in Liberal Studies and my California Teaching Credential. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, my husband Robert and our dog Kora, and our friends. You can usually find us at the beach, shopping, going to concerts, traveling, and attending / watching sporting events. My family and I love watching all of our favorite teams and attend as many games as we can every year cheering on our favorites! |
